Mala Manap


Mala has been practicing Iyengar yoga in the since 1989, and teaching since 2000. As part of her training Mala has done workshops and retreats with various senior Iyengar teachers including Geeta and Prashant Iyengar, Ramanand Patel, Rodney Yee and Shandor Remete. Her main teacher and mentor is Peter Thomson,a  founding member of the Australian BKS Iyengar Yoga Association. In her 'day job' Mala is an age and healthcare professional for over two decades. The two spheres of yoga and age/healthcare are deeply intertwined enabling Mala to deal effectively with many health and wellness issues that students might present.

Schedule:

Mala has a Tuesday evening class at 7pm to 9pm (Intermediate / Level 2). She conducts a Beginners (Level 1) class on Saturdays 11:30am to 1pm. She runs pranayama classes every last Tuesday and Saturday of the month during her class timeslots. These sessions are open to anyone who is keen to work with pranayama. Tuesdays are open to general level or intermediate students and Saturdays are open to beginner students. Mala also teaches a Teens class on Sundays, 3 to 4pm at her home.
